Meghan Lamb lives on the south side of Chicago. By day, she works as a teacher for individuals with special needs. In her spare time, she writes, records various film and audio projects, and edits the magazine Red Lightbulbs. Her work has been featured in Pank, Prick of the Spindle, Nano Fiction, Spork, and numerous other publications. This is her first book.
About the Novella:
Silk Flowers tells the story of a woman who contracts an inexplicable disorder. Her condition deepens the rift between herself and her partner, gradually eliminating her ability to work, speak, and function independently. The breakdown of her body is metonymous with the breakdown of less literal bodies: husband and wife, able and disabled, silent and silenced.
