About the Novel/Collection:
Winter is Better Than Summer is a both a novel and a short story collection. The story of the dysfunctional relationship between short story writer, Franklin Jack, and his art student girlfriend Kez, is told through a series of prose snapshots, mixed in with Franklin's short stories, which are often influenced by his own life. Blending the real with the surreal, with occasional diversions into apocalyptic nightmare, Winter is Better Than Summer defies categorisation. It's a series of strange tales, underpinned by an unromantic love story.
